Lumi · private beta on iPad

Play first. Everything else comes after.

Avio Education is a small studio. We build Lumi — games, picture books and kitchen-table experiments for children ages 3 to 8, with nothing to read, nothing to score and nothing to lose.

What we make

One product, four rooms. Lumi runs in the browser on an iPad — no download, no account for the child, no ads anywhere near them.

13 games

Games

A shelf of small games a three-year-old can start without being told how. No score, no timer, no losing screen — the difficulty moves quietly in the background instead.

3 shelves

Discover

Picture books about space, animals and dinosaurs, read aloud page by page. Every fact on a page is checked against three sources before it goes in front of a child.

17 experiments

Labs

Guess, try, look. Each one runs on screen first, then comes with a card for doing the real thing at the kitchen table — with things you already own.

For grown-ups

Parent mode

A short weekly note on what your child kept coming back to, and a few things you could try together this weekend. No numbers about your child. No comparisons with anyone else's.

How we work

Four rules we wrote down before the first line of code, and have not moved since.

The play stays on the device

What your child taps, drags and replays is stored on your own iPad and never uploaded. The only thing our server can ever receive is a short weekly summary.

No trackers where a child is

Zero third-party analytics, ad pixels or behaviour trackers on anything a child touches. Not the default kind either — none.

We describe, we don't grade

We tell you what we made and what your child did with it. We never tell you what your child is, or promise who they will become. There is no ranking, no percentage, no label.

Made for a child who can't read yet

Big targets, one tap, spoken instead of written. If a three-year-old needs a grown-up to explain the screen, the screen is wrong and we redraw it.

The studio

Avio Education is the studio behind Lumi. It is small on purpose: the games, the books and the experiments are designed, written and shipped by a founding team you could fit around one table.

Founded by Jun Yin, Yale MBA ’26. Lumi is in private beta on iPad.
